Well, today is the last day of the june holidays. My homework is not finished as usual but who cares. This past week had been quite an unhappy one for me but its okay, dont want to bring up the incident again.
However I do want to say that HENRY is leaving for Barcelona! Whoo, heard that Nick... Looks like Arsenal would relegate next season..or maybe the next or the next next. Ah who cares, just hope that Chelsea starts winning the treble next season. They have already bought many free transfers which i feel that could really improve the squad such as Alex, the defender who has contained Arsenal before in the champions league. I also feel that Chelsea should buy another Striker as i don't think Pizarro would be good enough for the premiership and that Drogba would be missing much of next season due to the Africans Nations Cup. Chelsea needs someone strong, fast and has a good eye on goal. Fernando Torres fits the bill. He is still very young but has already played for Spain and is the captain of Altletico Madrid. This shows that he is very mature and could play in the premiership.
Thats the end of the post. Go ChelseaFc!!!

Phew! Im finally back from Student Camp which was right after our class chalet. Both of them were a BLAST! Especially the Student Camp!
Day 1:
We reported at 11.30 on thursday,07-06-07, for registration. Then we went to have our lunch at the canteen. When everyone was full, we went to the Main sanctuary for the opening ceremony of the Student camp. Most of the time the opening ceremonies are very long with many boring speeches, but this one was short and good. It ending by letting us have an ice-breaking game together with our group members. The motive of the game was letting us make an object which could stand, carried around and that could represent our group with various recycled materials. As our group was called Bvlgari, a branded name, we decided to make a handbag. At first none of us wanted to give any ideas on how the handbag would look like. We seemed to be very shy towards each other even though we were all from the CCA.It was only when our leaders,Guo Zhang Ge, Wei Xuan Ge and Jing Wen Ge started to chip in with some ideas that we started talking.
Soon, our bag began to take shape. Everyone had a hand in creating the bag. When it was all done, it surprised us to see what we could do with such recycled stuffs. It looked awesome! The objects that other groups created were also very nice. Some were in the shape of the japanese cartoon characters Kerokeropi, Mashimaro and many more. Although it was very good, the main thing was that it was for Ice-Breaking and that we had FUN!
When it ended at 4:00,our group went to play soccer even though it was supposed to be bathing time.
Then at 7, it was Dinner time! Once again we went to the canteen for our dinner. Everything procceded as normal but only one thing changed. Now, everyone was talking with each other unlike at lunch where only a few people talked. The ice has broken!
Next was Praise and worship. This was the part that alot of us loved the most, as we could all gather together and worship God. We learnt some new songs and sang our lungs out. It seemed that everyone was singing as the whole sanctuary was filled with voices. It was as if we were all united as one to praise and worship God, no matter which religion we came from. The song that was most welcome was "One Way". The praise and worship certainly lifted all our mood as we left for Bible study or BS for short. At BS, i learnt that we were all special as God created us in his own image. It was really a very enriching session.
After that, we went to have our night games. We were supposed to be detectives and solve the mystery of who the murderer was. It was very exciting yet scary as the environment was dark and eerie. Therefore, we stuck in groups and went around asking "witnesses" and suspects for clues. The murderer was very clever, he mislead us by acting very innocently and answered our questions smartly. It fooled us completely. and making us more and more confused. However, everyone still managed to solve the crime. We were dead tired by then. And at 11.30, it was lights out.
Day 2:
Morning call at 0800 and by 0830, we were all having our breakfast followed by QT. And at 0915, we had praise and worship again. Once again all the different teams were all united as one to worship God. Then it was sermon time. The preacher was not bad as he was able to connect with the youths. But i still found it a little too long, together with the rest of the people as many of them were fast asleep. They only awoke when they heard the word Amen in the closing prayer. Then it was BS. We did a few activities before heading off for lunch and then games. The game was to let us get our clues for talent night later on.The first team to complete would have more choices on picking the theme. The game was a bit like fear factor although it considered a bit of running. Some of the things we had to do was picking up mealworms, star jumps while not swallowing condense milk in the mouth and blowing a balloon till it bursts and much much more. In this game we did qute badly and only had a few choices left. We had to pick a number and we chose 4. When the theme was given to us, we had a shock. It was ballet dancers. We had to start and end off in the same posture as the picture. All of us thought that we were doomed for sure. But seeing that nothing could help it, we tried to get the best out of it. We decided to make a comedy out of it.
This was the summary of the whole show:
There were 11 ugly people who shared the same liking- Dancing. Some of them prefered the Hip Hop,where Jin Jie and Yi Heng starred. Some liked the indian dance, where me, Yi hao and Chester acted. There were also some who loved the chinese classical dance(Ben and Guo Hui). Lastly, there was the Cha Cha, Where Yu Hua and my bro acted. We made the act till everything we did was funny and entertaining. Even we ourselves could not contain our laughter.
Although the talent night was later that night, we still went to play soccer as usual.
Everything proceeded as normal after that. We had our Dinner before heading off for SINGING again. But the best has yet to come.
Next up was the Talent Night Show.We were split into our different houses, which consisted of different groups. The two best groups of each house would enter into the finals.
When it started, we were all very nervous. The time range for each group was 3 mins and seeing that many groups did noy manage to complete their performance within the 3 mins caused us to become more nervous. This was because we took around 5 mins during the rehearsal.
When it was our turn, almost all of us were petrified. But Jing Wen told us something that helped us a lot. He said"This isn't about winning. The most important is giving it your best and have fun!" Immediately, all of us became motivated. We went upstage with less burden in our hearts. We enjoyed the entire perfonce and the crowd laughed the entire time. No words could represent how we felt that time. Once all the groups had presented their item, it was time for the pulse-proclaiming results. Everyone were silent and could not bear to hear who would enter the finals. And when it finally came, We could not contain our excitement. We had entered the Finals! We hadn't really expected it as the other groups also did quite well with their interesting plots. This also meant that we would have to act again, not knowing we should be happy or not, this time with a much bigger crowd.
When the order of each skit was announced, we found that we were the last group to act, allowing us to have more time to settle down. In the finals, the items that were produced were much better than those in the qualifying rounds. Although sadly, Kerokeropi and Ultraman did not make it. I had really hoped that they could have gotten into the finals as they were all sports students too, together with us. Well, enough of that
lets continue. The skits formed by Mr Chuas group and the St Johns group impressed me the most as they were really really brilliant. It was really hilarious to see them imitate others and turning it into a joke. And all the while, in all the excitement, nervousness had again started building inside us.
Soon, it was down to our turn. Once again, Jing Wen Ge managed to motivate us once more before we started on our Finale. This time, all of us were much more confident than before, thinking that everything we said was really just a joke. Laughter, once again, filled the air as we started on the performance. Although it was the second time showing, the loudness of the laughter had increased. Their laughter and clapping really motivated us even more causing us to work even harder to make the show even funnier.
When the show had finished,it was time for the results. While the judges were busy tallying up the scores, all the different houses started shouting their cheers, before everyone shouted the camp cheer all together. Then, it was the time that all of us had been waiting for-The Results Show. Everyone remained silent once more as they announced the Best Actor award. However, they tried a new way in announcing the results, which was by acting out the part which the actor/actress/group starred in. It was quite obvious which person won it, the NCC people, as their imitation of Mr Yeow was perfect, in fact he could have won the best mediacorp artist award! The best actress was also quite obvious as it went to a member of the St John's group.
Then it was time for the best group award. As the judges walked out onto stage to act out the skit of the winners group, it seemed that the St John's had won it as the posture of the judges were exactly the same as theirs. However in a turn of events, the judges started ballet dancing!
Hooray! We had won it. It was all thanks to Jing Wen ge for his motivation and God for his guidance. It was really a night to remember for all of us. That night all of us had a good nights rest after a hard day of work.
Day 3:
On this Saturday,09-06-07,everything proceeded normally and smoothly. We did our usual things such as singing, playing soccer, having fun and most of all praising God.
Day 4:
This was the day that many of us were looking forward to. There was The Amazing Race. Well not the one on Tv but a game that consisted of us running around Singapore to complete the tasks which the station masters gave us to do. The objective was to complete all the tasks and return back to AHS the first. However, we had to take our group photos before that. But it only took a while before all of us left for our exciting journey. Firstly all of us went to macritchie for oue first station. It required quick fingers and teamwork to complete the task and our group had just that. Hence we completed the task the earliest. We headed off to the next station at the mazy bridge. The task was to have everyone except one person blindfolded and cross the bridge without touching the railings. Once again, with the good leadership qualities of Jing Wen, we completed it with ease. As we were leading by quite a distance, we took the opportunity to have a short break and to clean some wounds before heading off again. The next station was a bit trickier. It was something like simon says but just that we had to reach a safe zone and that the distance was much much longer. This time we were much slower and allowed the group behind us to catch us. But no matter, as after we completed the station, we quickened our pace to the next station. This station told us to look closely at the surroundings and find some the number of objects put by the station masters. This caused our whole group to slow down and allow more groups to gain on us. We guessed many times but kept getting it wrong. We counted more than 5 times before managing to get the right answer. Although we were the first group to guess it correctly, the second group were nipping at our heels as we went to our next destination. It was destination Parkway. We planned to take the bus there but found out that Guo Zhang Ge was not with us. So we had to wait and saw many groups get on the buses before us. Everyone felt demoralised and blamed him. But when he arrived, he was carrying a big bag of ice-creams for everyone. Immediately, all of us felt guilty and thanked him for his treat. We got on the next bus and were on our way. The bus journey was very long and we had to keep switching buses. This demoralised us even more as we knew that the other groups would be far ahead of us by now. However when we arrived, we saw that the other groups were still there. We were all very surprised and confused. But soon, we found out. To complete the station, we had to eat the spiciest food that we could find and finish it all up. As the other group consisted of all girls they had a hard time finishing while we finished it within it with the help of Guo Zhang Ge, Wei Xuan and Jing Wen. We rushed off to the next nearby station where we had to eat Laksa.By that time, the Girls had also finished and followed us there. The girls order came first and once again they took quite a long time to finish. Ours came soon after, and we finished it in a matter of seconds. Know why? Because Wei Xuan only ordered 1/2 a bowl and requested the auntie to cut the noodles into small bits. When we finished, the girls had already hailed a cab, allowing 4 of them to leave first. Seeing this, we ran further in front to the taxi stand to hail 3 cabs, stealing them from their grasps. This certainly angered them. The next station was at Bedok interchange. There, we had to order a desert and finish it.Once again we finished it in lightning speed and left when the girls just arrived. Next stop, Simpang's Prata stop. We hailed 3 more cabs in succession and headed off. But i gotta tell u something. The cab that we took was absolutely awesome. I just cant explain it. the back was very spacious and comfortable and the driver was friendly too! However, when we arrived at the prata shop, the station master was nowhere to be seen at all. We searched high and low, left and right but still could not find her. When Jing Wen called her, she sayed that she hadn't arrived yet and asked us to order first. Yu Hua felt generous and treated us to free drinks and the prata. But lo and behold, the girls group had arrived and they got their pratas immediately after they ordered and we had to wait. What was this!? We ordered earlier and they got it first! So there was a bit of quarrel between the 2 groups after that and the station master, whom had already arrived, told us to split the pratas between each other and leave after finishing them. Immediately, both group grabbed their pratas and dashed off. We decided on running all the way uphill as we did not want to waste time flagging a taxi. However some of the girls managed to get a cab. When we saw this, all of us started sprinting up the slope, with pieces of prata still in our hands. We ate while we ran, causing some of us to feel nausea. But we knew this was not a good time to vomit as the girls group were already right behind us, running uphill too. We increased our pace and continued our 'Marathon'.
The school was within sight and the other group had closed the gap between us tremendously. Their fastest runner was only 2 cars away from our slowest runner! But Wei Xuan kept encouraging us to go on and do it for the group, and hence, we arrived the first. It was a really exciting race. However, Jing Wen warned us not to be so proud and taught us about sportsmanship. So, we cheered for them and they too responded by cheering for us. Aww, how touching...
After that, we went to our usual hangout- the street soccer court. This time we only played a short while due to the Amazing Race and fatigue. However i still got leg cramps. It was my first time lah and it was while i was heading for the bathroom and with no one with me. Luckily i knew the basics of 'curing' it and did it within a few minutes. It was quite fun actually. Then, we went for our dinner and praise and worship after that. We were overjoyed that night as we were announced the best group in the camp. But the best is still yet to come.. The CAMPFIRE!!!
The campfire night was totally great man! No words can explain how fun it was. Everyone got all crazy and started dancing the dances that we were taught. No one cared about anything except dancing. We also had BBq where we found out that there were many good cooks in the group, especially Guo Zhang Ge. His food were extremely delicious and tasty with members of the other groups left drooling as they saw us eating. We partied till very late at night and when it was time for lights out, we still had not had enough.
Although the campfire had already out, we still managed to have a good time by playing Boom-O all thru the night till 7 plus in the morning. That was the most memorable night of all!
The next day, it was pack up time right after breakfast. Everyone did not seem to have the mood to pack up as we all knew what was after that- Home. However we knew we had to do it and so, all of us worked together and finished the job in no time.
After that we went for our final praise and worship session and this time, the voices were louder than ever. Then it was home sweet home.
In this camp, i made many new friends. No matter if it was boy or girl, tall or short, fat or thin, all of us have become good friends. This was one of the best camps that i have been to. So, dont miss it next year!
